Hampshire Barn

The complete renovation of a dilapidated old brick barn situated in the Hampshire countryside. The barn was completely derelict when my client purchased it so it needed a complete overhaul.

We also added a small extension so that it could accommodate two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The builders that I worked with on it had such attention to detail which was so refreshing and in turn made it a real joy to work on. Everything required designing, from the staircase and fireplace down to the light switches and skirting boards. We used a lot of natural finishes which I think really worked well set against all the old beams and ironwork. When it came to the furniture and soft furnishings, the client had a few key items such as the antique dining table that they wanted to use which helped shape the schemes.
